Espace Bambino

HSB’s Espace Bambino is a centre especially for children aged 2 to 12 years with a number of different disabilities. Every Thursday from 9am to 12pm, HSB organises physical therapy sessions for the children, followed by lunch. On this day, the volunteers play with the children, but they also get to know them better through conversations with their parents. Given that we’re in the rainy season, the children will have a 1-month break from the Espace Bambino, so HSB decided to organise a little party for the children and to play an “invisibility game.” This game was open to all staff and volunteers of HSB, the Swiss volunteers who were visiting HSB, the Npower and Notts County volunteers who were visiting International Service, and all of Tigoung Nonma. All the children took part and, through an invisible draw, each child was matched with an adult friend, with whom photos were taken. We finished the party with a group photo, and a rendezvous for the beginning of September.
